How did the brand come about?
It was born in December 2022 when I decided to escape from my un/usual everyday life. Sacrifice my free time to even more un/usual activities.
Start creating and actually realizing un/usual items.
To tell you my very own un/usual story.
That’s what B.UNUSUAL is about.
Rather than locking it up I want to share my story with all these other in/usual souls out there.
B.U is an extra look but, most of all to invite these souls to express them / ourselves, share our unique souvenirs, adventures.

Concepts and Values
Nowadays everyone desires to be indifferent, unique- special.
Actually meaning and living it demands more than the pure desire itself – you gotta be fierce, confident.
Interpreting and expressing my own personal experiences I want to invite and motivate you carrying this into your everyday life.
Unconsciously achieving a piece of B.U. thanks to their special look and uniqueness is only the first (!) step.
But truly wearing it, understanding its meaning and story differentiates you.
The Pieces I created out of my most precious, purest memories (only) exist to give you strength and fier to believe and have faith in yours. It’s not only about wearing some beautiful pieces, it’s about wearing and carrying the message of a whole story as unique and special as your very own.

Born and raised in Senegal, then moving to Italy by the age of 15,
My story indeed is quite un/usual. (Just as much as your story) The only thing that has never changed since this crazy ride: my great passion about artisanal handwork.
Since I was a child I have always been passionate about DIY.
I remember at home in Thiès (Senegal) who grew up in the house of my Aunt Elizabeth, in the midst of the women; I was the one who fixed almost everything that broke or that was defective; from my cousins’ necklaces to the antenna of the home television.
Life can change in the blink of an eye / a second and so did mine after entering the fashion world in the most random,
unexpected way possible in August 2018.
Where diversity and uniqueness are well-appreciated values.
For me the fashion world has given so much, it has been able to bring out passions and sides of me that I didn’t even know I had.
What seems like a dream story is just as ordinary as what you might discover and experience everyday, every hour & second.
As weird and unrealistic the fashion world may seem to most of the population, just as it did to me at first, I tried to understand it and discover its deep sense, meaning.
Refusing existing and diving into this world as a simple « tool » I was deeply interested in discovering how these people – the designers – work, invent, create. Personal memories and emotions get transformed into something concrete (a garment etc.) that expresses an incredible special unique meaning – thanks to personal experiences and the feelings that came with it. In the end every small detail has a specific meaning, trying to tell a story. Their story – including their emotions, feelings. “Never judge a book by its cover” got a new meaning to me and I felt a desire, need and sense in doing the same myself.

Many years, many voyages, many life lessons (couldn’t find a better expression for now) and experiences later I did the exact same – expressing parts of my own life and its emotional journeys into a very limited collection of jewelry.
B.UNUSUAL is entirely handmade from the engraving of the logo on the silver to the frame of the necklaces. and unique just as every personal, year, voyage, life lessons and experiences ever since.
